Level 2 Features & Procedures.

  • We arrange access via the estate agent or vendor and agree on precise dates and times with them, resulting in minimum disruption to the vendor.

  • We conduct our inspection, assessing all exteriors, the loft, the interior, all outbuildings, and grounds.

  • Inspections typically last between 2 ½ – 5 hours, depending on the house size.

  • Our secretary types up our findings before our surveyor gives everything a final approval, with the team giving everything a final proofread.

  • We will issue our final Homebuyers report approximately a week after our inspection, via email and as a folder-bound copy in the post if requested.

  • See sample report to fully understand the depth and detail we can provide.

Fair & Transparent Fees

Fair & Transparent Fees.

Our fees represent very good value – often less than 0.2% of the house purchase price, far less than you will pay an agent to sell a house you’ll no longer be responsible for.

We take pride in being fully independent to act in your best interests and do not pay referral fees to Estate Agents or receive commissions from contractors.

We place immense importance on offering good value to our customers. Our complete and transparent home surveys can keep you from unknowingly committing yourself to thousands of pounds worth of repair works.

“Witcombe surveyors have been fantastic providing me with my survey, the home buyers survey I received was incredibly detailed. Their knowledge and professionalism is unparalleled.

David’s surveys are exceptionally descriptive and I can often quote work from the survey directly without seeing the property.
I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Witcombe Surveying and Conservation to home buyers in the future.”

“The best Surveyor we have used in 20 years! A thoroughly professional hardworking surveyor, David Witcombe did a brilliant job recently on our purchase of a flat in Hastings. My wife and I both agree that his Home-buyers report went into great detail on all areas of the flat and was very helpful when asked various questions. He could not be more helpful and we fully recommend him to people looking to buy in East Sussex.”
