A wealth of historic structures knowledge.
A wealth of conservation of historic structures knowledge.
David’s background is mainly from the sensitive repair and alteration of Listed Buildings in the Lewes area, but he now has extensive experience working around the Hastings, St Leonards, Bexhill, Cranbrook and Rye areas since starting Witcombe Surveying and Conservation Ltd in 2015.
He has a wealth of experience working on projects involving the conservation of historic structures, barn conversions, two-storey flint extensions, and managing water penetration to historic buildings. With a conservation-minded approach, David uses his extensive knowledge when preparing reports for house purchasers to guide them towards sensitive repair options and help them protect the historic integrity.
This work led him to undertake an MSc in Building Conservation at the Weald and Downland Museum.
