Planning

Obtaining Planning Permission or even discovering if it is required can often be complex and bureaucratic. Our consultants can lead you through each process by first preparing an initial feasibility study to inform you whether Planning Permission is needed or if your proposal can be constructed under the General Permitted Development Order. This includes even minor development such as garden decking and outbuilding conversions.

If Planning permission is needed an application will have to be submitted including existing and proposed floor plans and elevations, a site plan, design and access statement and in some cases specialist reports on ecology or an archaeology assessment.

In more complex applications such as barn conversions or developing land, a sound understanding of the relevant planning policies is a must to put together a strong planning report, demonstrating to the Council’s Planning Officers why permission can be given.
